CEO | Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP]
Dato’ Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP] since 2nd May 2013. He sits on the Boards of Valuecap Sdn. Bhd., Malakoff Corporation Bhd. and Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of KWAP based in London, United Kingdom.
Before joining KWAP, he was the General Manager, Treasury Department of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) since October 2007. His professional career with Malayan Banking Bhd. began in 1981, mostly in Treasury Department with two overseas postings in Hamburg, Germany as the Chief Dealer, and in London as the Treasury Manager. In 1994, he served as the CEO and Director in several companies within the Affin Group until 2005.
Dato’ Wan Kamaruzaman is currently the Chairman of the Institutional Investors Council Malaysia (IIC) and a Board member of the Minority Shareholder Watchdog Group (MSWG), and was recently appointed as the Board member for Bond and Sukuk Information Platform Sdn. Bhd (BIX). He is also a member of the Financial Stock Exchange – Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Advisory Committee in London, as well as the Institute of Integrity Malaysia. In addition, he is one of the corporate members of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) and the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA).
Dato’ Wan Kamaruzaman holds a Bachelor of Economics majoring in Analytical Economic (Hons) from the University of Malaya and is also a Chartered Banker (AICB).
